Purtec Kunststoftechniek BV in Heerhugowaard acquired, ‘an important step’

The TTS Group acquired Purtec Kunststoftechniek BV in Heerhugowaard on 1 January. Under the name Purtec Polyurethane Technology, the company will act as an independent entity within the group from its current location at Amperestraat in Heerhugowaard. In a press release, the TTS Group reports that the acquisition is an important step for both the TTS Group and Purtec Kunststoftechniek BV. Through the strategic collaboration with Reijnen Sealing BV in Peize, which is also part of the TTS Group, the future of Purtec is assured and the company will enjoy further professionalisation.

According to Maurits Tepper, owner of the TTS Group, Purtec was established in 1980 and employs 16 members of staff. “This collaboration enables both parties to offer a broader range of services to existing and new customers. We are looking forward to a successful and fruitful collaboration.”

Moulding resin
Unlike any other plastic, polyurethane comes in a wide variety of different types. Moulding electronics using polyurethane moulding resin is one of the important activities of Purtec and Reijnen Sealing BV. “This offers maximum protection for high-quality electronics”, says Tepper. “We have more than 150 clients. We make single pieces for space travel, for instance, but also series volumes for applications in the energy transition.”

Dick de Bruijn, who was the owner and director of the company he took over from his father at the end of 2000, remains closely involved with the company as an advisor. He will also carry out consultancy activities for the TTS Group.
